E learning for healthcare
e-LfH is a Health Education England (HEE) programme that works with professional bodies such as the Royal Colleges, and NHS organisations such as NHS England, to provide online training and education to the workforce.
These resources are available 24-7 and there is so much available online. It is all nationally quality-assured.
e-LfH have an online induction programme for IMGs. You can access the webpage and sign up for e-learning by clicking here. If the individual modules don’t work, you can search for them individually in the search bar.
General Medical Council
The GMC has e-learning that is free to access and anonymous. “Welcome to UK practice” e-learning helps to become familiar with GMC professional standards through case scenarios. This enables you to explore some of the ethical challenges you may face in your day-to-day work. You get feedback on your performance at the end.

The GMC also runs a free face to face workshop to support doctors who are new to the UK, no matter how experienced you are. This workshop offers practical advice and explores different ethical scenarios. You can access the webpage and book onto a workshop by clicking here.
BMJ Learning
The British Medical Journal (BMJ) is one of the world’s oldest medical journals. The journal is only available via a paid subscription however it has some free online courses including
“Career planning for IMGs – a collection of 11 learning modules that are designed to help doctors who graduated outside of the UK to better understand opportunities and advance their careers. This includes interview skills, medical CV writing and application forms, and preparing for your first UK role – click here
“Working in the UK” – includes 5 learning modules including on exams such as Multi-Specialist Recruitment Assessment (MSRA)-click here
